This reading challenge has six challenges for the week and we are allowed to double (or more) up on any of the challenges. Here’s what I am *hoping* to read.
➽1. Read a Beachy Read
I have Picked Nantucket Blue by Leila Howland
For Cricket Thompson, a summer like this one will change everything. A summer spent on Nantucket with her best friend, Jules Clayton, and the indomitable Clayton family. A summer when she’ll make the almost unattainable Jay Logan hers. A summer to surpass all dreams. Some of this turns out to be true. Some of it doesn’t. When Jules and her family suffer a devastating tragedy that forces the girls apart, Jules becomes a stranger whom Cricket wonders whether she ever really knew. And instead of lying on the beach working on her caramel-colored tan, Cricket is making beds and cleaning bathrooms to support herself in paradise for the summer. But it’s the things Cricket hadn’t counted on–most of all, falling hard for someone who should be completely off-limits–that turn her dreams into an exhilarating, bittersweet reality.
2. Read a book with sunrise colours on the cover
I have Picked Wicked as you Wish by Rin Chupeco
Lala Warnock has little use for magic – as a descendant of Maria Makiling, the legendary Filipina heroine, she negates spells, often by accident. But her family’s old ties to the country of Avalon (frozen, bespelled, and unreachable for almost 12 years) soon finds them guarding its last prince from those who would use his kingdom’s magic for insidious ends.
3. Read a book with roadtrip/travelling or vacation
I have chosen I Love you so Mochi
4. Read a book set in summer.
I am choosing Serious Moonlight by Jenn Bennett
4. Read a book with food on the cover
I am choosing Tell me three things by Julie Buxbam

Dates: December 3rd to December 9th!!!
This is a super great way to start December right!!
he Devil Wears Prada meets Sex and the City in a wickedly funny debut novel about a girl who lands a dream internship at a magazine in New York City. If only she hadn’t lied about being a dating expert on her resume…
Harper Anderson has always thought she should have been born somewhere more glamorous than her sleepy Northern California suburb.
Already resigned to working at a Skinny B’s Juice Press for the summer, Harper is shocked when the ultra-prestigious teen magazine, Shift, calls to say they want her to be their teen dating blogger for the summer. All she needs to do is get her butt to New York in two days.
There’s just one teeny, tiny problem: Apart from some dance floor make-outs, Harper doesn’t have a whole lot of dating experience. So when Shift’s application asked for an “edgy” personal essay, Harper might have misappropriated her best friend’s experiences for her own. But she can just learn on the job…right? Will the house of lies Harper has built around her dream job collapse all around her, or will she be able to fake it until she makes it in the big city?
I thought this book was the prefect mix of how to loose a guy in ten days and the devil wears prada. I loved the work place drama at the magazine and also NYC has a backdrop of this whole story. I really feel for harper and was super invested in her story. I also loved the various plot shocked that kept me on my toes. It was quick read but had a lot of emotional moments. It kept me reading and with a cute boy next door that i kept rooting for. If you liked t.v the bold type this might by your next read!
