Summary!!!

The enchanting and bloodthirsty sequel to the New York Times bestselling novel The Cruel Prince.  You must be strong enough to strike and strike and strike again without tiring. The first lesson is to make yourself strong. After the jaw-dropping revelation that Oak is the heir to Faerie, Jude must keep her younger brother safe. To do so, she has bound the wicked king, Cardan, to her, and made herself the power behind the throne. Navigating the constantly shifting political alliances of Faerie would be difficult enough if Cardan were easy to control. But he does everything in his power to humiliate and undermine her even as his fascination with her remains undiminished. When it becomes all too clear that someone close to Jude means to betray her, threatening her own life and the lives of everyone she loves, Jude must uncover the traitor and fight her own complicated feelings for Cardan to maintain control as a mortal in a Faerie world.

My Brief Thoughts:

I adored this book a lot. I think this book really did change the game of this series yet again. I really grew to love all the characters in this book but especially Jude. I think the world building was so well crafted in this book and I loved how this book both expanded the world but also expanded the characters growth. I just loved how tightly wound this story is with the first book in this series. The ending was insane will be a super super long wait but I loved this book a lot!

My Extended Thoughts:

Characters: I thought this book raised the bar and def did some vey compelling things with all these characters. This book was really showed you different sides of all the and really was hard to put down. I really enjoyed what holly black did with her characters.

Pace: This book is only a bit over 300 pages and it is a fast pace read that really did not stop until the last chapter when you REALLY want to toss your book across the room. But as very well pace novel that was hard to put down.

Twists: The final twist is behind CRUEL and i wanted to toss my book across the room. I def need to re read this series in 2019! But all I can say is waiting until 2020 for this last book in this series is hard!

Next book! If I by some reason could get this book tomorrow. I would have waited too long! I am not looking foward to my long wait!

let me know in the comments your thoughts about wicked king or if you are super excited to read it!

later book lovers!
