Summary!
Never underestimate the power of friendship.
When Colie goes to spend the summer at the beach, she doesn’t expect much.
But Colie didn’t count on meeting Morgan and Isabel.
Through them, she learns what true friendship is all about, and finally starts to realize her potential.
And that just might open the door to her first chance at love. . . .
My Brief Thoughts:
This book was a my first ever sarah dessen read. I really did like the small town this book was set it and also the main character. It was a super fast pace read and just the prefect summer read. I want to feel more connected to most of the characters but I really did enjoy the lead girl. I liked how this book focused a lot on self discovery and and also on self confidence. I also liked the unique female relationships we explored in this book. I def want to read more sarah dessen this summer and this was def a good start!
My Extended Thoughts!
Characters: I did like the characters but I just wanted more from them. I felt like it was harder to understand their motivations. I did like the underlying romance. I also though the dynamics between the characters were super fun, but it was not a book that felt super connected to the characters by the end.
Pace: The summer timeline made this book go fast but it def was slice of life book. The plot did not wow me but it was fun
Predictability: This book did fell a tad predictable to me. It just did not wow me. I really saw most things coming but it was fun summer read, that did focus more on self discovery rather then romance!
Will I read Other books by her! Yes, I have so many I hope to read this summer!
later book lovers!
