I would give this book 4 for a review.

Maddie thought she and Logan would be friends forever. But when your dad is a Secret Service agent and your best friend is the president’s son, sometimes life has other plans. Before she knows it, Maddie’s dad is dragging her to a cabin in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness.

No phone.
No Iinternet.
And not a single word from Logan.

Maddie tells herself it’s okay. After all, she’s the most popular girl for twenty miles in any direction. She has wood to cut and weapons to bedazzle. Her life is full.
Until Logan shows up six years later . . .
And Maddie wants to kill him.

But before that can happen, an assailant appears out of nowhere, knocking Maddie off a cliff and dragging Logan to some unknown fate. Maddie knows she could turn back- and get help. But the weather is turning and the terrain will only get more treacherous, the animals more deadly.

Maddie still really wants to kill Logan.
But she has to save him first.

My  Brief Thoughts:

* I got this book from scholastic for my honest thoughts***
I loved this book so much. I really loved how we got the duel POV in this novel of both maddie and Logan. I really loved how this book was both survival story but also had elements of adventure and mystery. I thought the both the setting of the alaskan wilderness was such a unique place to set a novel. The highlight of this novel was def the relationship between Logan and Abby. I also normally love books about presidents kids and this book was no different. It was so easy to fly through this novel. These characters have become my top favorite characters of all of ally’s characters. I know we are heading into spring/summer but this would make a great winter read!

My Extended Thoughts!

Characters: I really loved these characters so much. The book was def. focused on the two leads and I felt like they were super well rounded. I really loved that we got both logan and maddy POV. These characters have become some of my favorite ally carter characters!

Plot: I thought this book was such a unique plot. I also thought it was super fast pace but you could tell how much research went into the novel. I loved the mash up of the various genres we got in this novel. I really enjoyed the plot.

Pace: This book was such a fast pace thriller! I really enjoyed it. It was super hard to put it down and I loved the balance between both of the leads.

Setting: I have never read a book set in this type of setting and i loved how it really focused on not only the thriller aspects but also the survival aspects. You can tell that ally did not alot of research for this novel
