3. This Darkest Mine by Mindy McGinnis

I really did not love this book and I had such a hard time to not even like the main character but also enjoy the storyline. It was a book that i HAVE limited postive things to say about other then it was a mystery I wanted to unreaval but I did not like how it tuned out.

4.  Mr. Fararenihiet

this book again was such a struggle to read. I got this from my first ever comic con! I really was not wowed by either the characters or the story. It was really hard to follow but I did wind up finishing it! It was a book that just did not wow me.

5.  Death Comes to Pemberley by P.D James

This book was such a let down. I should have known better but i had such high hopes for it. The mystery was lacking and I was not wowed by the writing. I really was excited for a fun mystery with tie backs to Jane austen classic story. However It was not what I expected!

I am so happy to be working with entangled teen to do a cover reveal for BRING ME THEIR HEARTS by Sarah Wolf!

In a new series Publishers Weekly has listed as “one of the most anticipated YA’s of 2018”, we’re excited to share the cover for Bring Me Their Hearts! NYT bestselling author Sara Wolf delivers a fast-paced, gritty fantasy sure to thrill fans of Holly Black, Sabba Tahir, and Sarah J. Maas.

Zera is a Heartless—the immortal, unaging soldier of a witch. Bound to the witch Nightsinger ever since she saved her from the bandits who murdered her family, Zera longs for freedom from the woods they hide in. With her heart in a jar under Nightsinger’s control, she serves the witch unquestioningly.

Until Nightsinger asks Zera for a prince’s heart in exchange for her own, with one addendum: if she’s discovered infiltrating the court, Nightsinger will destroy Zera’s heart rather than see her tortured by the witch-hating nobles.

Crown Prince Lucien d’Malvane hates the royal court as much as it loves him—every tutor too afraid to correct him and every girl jockeying for a place at his darkly handsome side. No one can challenge him—until the arrival of Lady Zera. She’s inelegant, smart-mouthed, carefree, and out for his blood. The prince’s honor has him quickly aiming for her throat.

So begins a game of cat and mouse between a girl with nothing to lose and a boy who has it all.

Winner takes the loser’s heart.

Author Bio!

Sara Wolf is a twenty-something author who adores baking, screaming at her cats, and screaming at herself while she types hilarious things. When she was a kid, she was too busy eating dirt to write her first terrible book. Twenty years later, she picked up a keyboard and started mashing her fists on it and created the monster known as the Lovely Vicious series. She lives in San Diego with two cats, a crippling-yet-refreshing sense of self-doubt, and not enough fruit tarts ever.

I would give this book 3.5 for a review.

Maddie’s not impulsive. She’s all about hard work and planning ahead. But one night, on a whim, she buys a lottery ticket. And then, to her astonishment —

She wins!

In a flash, Maddie’s life is unrecognizable. No more stressing about college scholarships. Suddenly, she’s talking about renting a yacht. And being in the spotlight at school is fun… until rumors start flying, and random people ask her for loans. Now, Maddie isn’t sure who she can trust.

Except for Seth Nguyen, her funny, charming coworker at the local zoo. Seth doesn’t seem aware of Maddie’s big news. And, for some reason, she doesn’t want to tell him. But what will happen if he learns her secret?

With tons of humor and heart, Kasie West delivers a million-dollar tale of winning, losing, and falling in love.

My Thoughts:

I found this book really cute. But it has handled alot of harder topics and how money even though winning the a ton of money does not save everything. I really did like Maddie as a lead character. I also found the book boy friend to be super cute. I wanted to see a little bit more of the boy and Maddie interaction in the book but i got threw it so fast. It made me think about what i would do If i won all that money. It was a really quick read and i def. want to read more by her in the future.

When Claudia accidentally eavesdrops on the epic breakup of Paige and Iris, the it-couple at her school, she finds herself in hot water with prickly, difficult Iris. Thrown together against their will in the class production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, along with the goofiest, cutest boy Claudia has ever known, Iris and Claudia are in for an eye-opening senior year.

Smart, funny, and thoroughly, wonderfully flawed, Claudia navigates a world of intense friendships and tentative romance in Emma Mills’s Follish Hearts, a young adult novel about expanding your horizons, allowing yourself to be vulnerable, and accepting—and loving—people for who they really are.

My Thoughts:

This book was so adorable that I had to give it five stars. I loved how diverse this book was from page one. I loved how so many different aspects of teen life was show in this book like loves, passion and friendship. I would def. say this book focused so much on friendship and how friendships can change and that was the standout part of this book for me. With romance undertones that like the play midsummer nights dream, you never know who was “end-game” It was quick read that i finished in one day. I def want to read more by this author in the future.

I would give this book 4  stars for a review.

Seventeen-year-old Abby Turner’s summer isn’t going the way she’d planned. She has a not-so-secret but definitely unrequited crush on her best friend, Cooper. She hasn’t been able to manage her mother’s growing issues with anxiety. And now she’s been rejected from an art show because her work “has no heart.” So when she gets another opportunity to show her paintings, Abby isn’t going to take any chances.

Which is where the list comes in.

Abby gives herself one month to do ten things, ranging from face a fear (#3) to learn a stranger’s story (#5) to fall in love (#8). She knows that if she can complete the list, she’ll become the kind of artist she’s always dreamed of being.

But as the deadline approaches, Abby realizes that getting through the list isn’t as straightforward as it seems . . . and that maybe—just maybe—she can’t change her art if she isn’t first willing to change herself.

My Thoughts:

This book was super cute. I really loved the heart list that drove this book from page one to the end. It really was a strong book that really focused on the self discovery parts of both lead characters of abby and cooper. I really liked cooper as a character and how there story came to a end. It also dealt with harder issues like her mothers issues of leaving the house and also making your art more engaging. It was hard to put this book done and it is my new favorite kassie west novel. If you liked since you’ve been gone, I think this book would be right up your alley.

Known across the galaxy as the Bloody Baroness, Captain Androma Racella and her motley crew of space-bound privateers roam the Mirabel galaxy on the glass starship Marauder, taking what mercenary work they can find to stay alive.

When a routine job goes awry, the Marauder’s all-girl crew find themselves placed at the mercy of a dangerous bounty hunter from Andi’s past. Coerced into a life-threatening mission, and straight into the path of a shadowy ruler bent on revenge, Andi and her crew will either restore order to the ship—or start a war that will devour worlds.

My Thoughts:

* I got this book from NYCC*
I really loved this book. I normally struggle with science fiction but this book was a super addictive read. I loved all the POV characters and the various POV made this such a rich and engaging story. I really loved all the POV characters. I was so captured by the plot and the characters and I had a hard time putting it down. This book was so prefect and even thought it was long, it was a super quick read. This is def a book that I would read again. Very good!

Books You Disliked but Love to Discuss: TFW :)

So I won’t be doing videos this week but wanted to make sure I gave you guys a post everyday. I am still recovering but I am feeling much Better!

This is not a series I really enjoyed but I do enjoying talking about why I don’t like it including both her weak characters and her rather shotty world building. I really have no desire to read more by her in the future but i do enjoy having discussions about this series.

This book is one I enjoy discussing because I really struggled to like the main character and her actions. I know this book is a very split book about opinions but because of the lead I would love to hear other people thoughts about this book.

I wanted to loved this book. But I really struggled with the relationship that to my eyes could be viewed as almost abusive or controlling. I like to hear how other people view these characters. I still want to cont. on with this series and see if I like the other couples more.

This book did not wow me but I did love to both discuss the character growth and also the plot and how they feel about it. It did  not wow me but i am intrigued enough to keep reading the series. I did not love the main character and would love to hear other people thoughts on this series.

This book I struggled with both the main characters and just the plot and focus on sexual content. I often to like to hear if I am alone that the sexual content was not needed. I am not invested enough to read more book in the series but hear others people thoughts seems like good plan 🙂

Let me know in the comments any of your thoughts about these books and why you liked them or did not and also what are so if your books on your list 🙂

Books I Really Liked but Can’t Remember Anything/Much About: TTT :)

So again I am taking a break from these videos! I am going to give you my top 5 this week as well! I promise next week I will be back with both videos and a full top ten list 🙂

this book was a fun read but i did not make a massive impression on me. I know the town had some weird quality and I remember enjoying it but can’t recall why I liked it!

This book really had many elements of john green and I had have  hard time remember the details of why I enjoyed it. i do know I liked the male lead a lot but that is all I can remember!

I remember flying through this book but i am struggling to remember why I was so impressed with this book. The only thing I remember is it was virtual reality based around and also there was semi shocking ending.

I remember being super excited to start this book and liking it. But I can’t tell you any details about it. It made now impression on me! So sorry about that 🙂

This book is another one that I enjoyed the end but I can’t recall any detials!

Let me know if you have any books that you liked and now can’t remember any thing about!
